Bar Harbor Vacation Rentals
With Acadia National Park in our backyard, we're secluded from the commercial area of Bar Harbor, yet conveniently located approximately one block from the ocean. Visitors may ride a free shuttle bus to town from one of the stops located nearby. The shuttle arrives every half hour for your convenience so you don't have to navigate through the summer bustle of Bar Harbor.
Bordered by Acadia National Park, we are ideally located a short distance from historic downtown Bar Harbor, whale watching, deep sea fishing boats, scenic daytime and sunset cruises, puffin and dolphin cruises, kayaking, sailing, canoeing, biking, rock climbing, picnicking, and walks along ocean beaches and lakes.
There is fresh and salt water swimming, 150 miles of hiking trails, 56 miles of carriage roads built by John D. Rockefeller, Kebo Valley Golf Club, and the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the tallest on the Eastern seaboard and the first place in the Continental USA where the sun can be seen to rise.
In town, there is an Art Deco theater, quaint craft, art, antique and gift shops. The waterfront is active with frequent cruise ships (including the Queen Mary and the Queen Victoria). Other events include concerts for music lovers, an International Music Festival, art and craft fairs, Museums, 4th of July celebration, and a wide variety of restaurants.
After a fun filled day of activities, return to “Summertime” and settle in for a relaxing evening and a good night's sleep in the quiet solitude of your vacation home.
